My Houzz: A stylishly renovated Houseboat in London Docklands - Built in 1924, this transport ship had a busy working life throughout the 1920s and 1930s, conveying steel and coal along the UK's waterways. However, as times have changed, there is less need for transport ships and, in the 80 years that followed, "Beecliffe" changed hands several times before being discovered by Gary Marshall, founder of Anatomicals beauty brand. "There was a lot of heart - he just needs to bring back his soul," he said. Then he began to restore it to its former glory, while creating a warm and welcoming home.

Marshall describes his style as "a mix of traditional water mixed with Scandi chic" and this elegant and refined aesthetics is back apparent throughout the interior.

The adjoining bathroom has also undergone a transformation. "The full replumbing and redesign of the electrical installation was a challenge," says Marshall . "The boats are a completely different beast apartments on land, especially in regarding the way the bathrooms and office toilets. "

Just below the wheelhouse are the crew bunks, where those who operate and sail the boat and the transport of goods in 1920 would slept.

Perfect for a sunny day the bridge has plenty of space for guests. Marshall removed "years of waste" to create a platform and outdoor entertaining area that comes into its own when the sun shines.
