Houzz Tour: A House With Views Lake Contemporary Canadian Blissful - This couple semi-retired was ready to leave the city and closer to their northern roots Ontario. While in Toronto, they found a unique property on Lake Muskoka Tasso in the district that was more like home. Although the property has a lot of Crown land around it (which can never be developed) and the massive Algonquin Park nearby, they often surrounded by many people, their home became the gathering place for family and friends, and the house party in the region.

The only large lounge has been designed to accommodate a crowd. There are two sofas, two chairs, ottomans and a home for the seats. The home is covered in the same polished black granite designer used on kitchen countertops. The entourage is textured limestone.

The lounge room is completely open to the dining room and the kitchen. The room beyond the door to the left is the "Muskoka room", a porch where there is space for barbecue, room, living room and view wildlife.

In the room Muskoka green tiles reflect the color trees that surround the house. the wood accent around the exhaust vent and top and below is the siding of the house. the cabinets have room for outdoor cooking utensils, things to carry drinks to the dock, and the dog and children's toys.

At first floor den -office has tremendous views; doors offer easy access to the lake. Lischkoff size corner sofa to accommodate grandchildren who sleep more, but it is also tight enough to wrap the couple when they are home alone.

Covering the walls of the guest bathroom in the tiles was another movement of sustainability-minded. There is not an area here that can not make a big splash.

main bedroom has its own fireplace, and family member that tends to monopolize the window seat is the dog. The fireplace surround is polished marble on the bottom and burned marble on top. They are actually the same marble; high heat took off a layer of the stone.
The floors are oak smoked, meaning they are not colored. Lischkoff used 5in-, 7in- boards and 9in-wide placed in a random pattern diagonal for a more casual look.

In master bathroom, glass mosaic tiles around the bath. It is actually an overflow room, which means that you can fill up your shoulders. Look closely and you can see how the water will splash right into another room and drain.

Room Bed is a little more traditional. The heights of the high headboards are accented by vertical stripes. "This kind of headboard is inspired by a classic style, but they are completely unadorned, which gives them a more contemporary look, said Lischkoff. leather poufs at the end of each of the Twin provide places to put luggage down.

Lischkoff started with pedestal basins shared in this guest room, but he removed the pedestal and designed a vanity base which could contain basins. Because the ships were designed to have a little extra space around them, they add interest and contain splashes fine. The penny-round tiles on the floor bring in the color signature, while having the subway tiles in a grid with gray grout made more modern.
