Houzz Tour: A Crumbling building in Sydney Gets a Makeover Superb - It is not every day that a design-build team happens to be their own client. But when Nathan and Bettina Waller, who run the home improvement company based in Sydney Building Capital, found a half-demolished structure in the suburbs, they decided to renovate it for themselves.
Drawing on 20 years of experience, they built a new house cool with a contemporary twist.

a former owner seemed to have made an effort to rebuild the house of the 1970 original, but when the Wallers found, the structure has been partially demolished.
The finished house is a multi-stage that is perfectly suited to the character of its suburban environment, maximizing natural light with large windows with a contemporary aesthetic crisp.
"When we thought about the style, we wanted to find the perfect balance of modern, neutral, textured and industrial," says Bettina. "This combination gives enough to feel contemporary; it is neutral enough to feel serene and does not compete for attention; the texture patterns of sensation back to nature; and the industrial element feel like you can live in it and not be afraid to mess up. "
