As creative director, Sorensen-Jolink uses his home to present popular pieces of his studio and as a way to see how they interact with the other components in his apartment. For this apartment, I wanted to focus on the rich materials and colors - velvet, cherry wood - and plants, says Sorensen-Jolink. Potted plants can be found in almost every corner of the house.

Hover this unit custom shelving is made of wood hand-picked recovery, piping and iron clamps cylindrical black steel. It serves as a piece of functional statement in the room.
"When my partner and I are at home, we both treat space as a place to relax and recharge," says Sorensen-Jolink. "It is important for space not to create its own stress, but to function as a place to expire at the end of each day.

Apartment opens into the living room bathed in light, overlooking a shared garden with neighbors.
'My partner and I had a month to find a new apartment after our owner decided to sell the building. We stumbled upon this apartment in the garden, owned by friends, and signed the lease as soon as possible, "says Sorensen-Jolink.

"I'm of the mind, especially when renting an apartment, you must have your space exactly as you wish, and if you have extra furniture, let it go instead of squeeze in, "says Sorensen-Jolink.
