Houzz Tour: A London apartment in Grand Edwardian House Goes Luxe - When the owner of this London apartment has requested assistance from within design and development company of the Oliver property Burns, she already had a clear idea of how to revamp the space, a process that lasted four months. aesthetic glamor of this apartment is evident from the moment you walk through the front door. Here, a gilded coffered ceiling and oversized chandelier deliver an immediate explosion of magnitude. In the hallway, we played with proportions by hanging an oversized chandelier, "Katia said. "It is quite spectacular, but with a contemporary approach.

a modern and bold design with a masculine edge was the concept for this apartment. Lacquered wood cabinets plated at each end of the room unifies the living space, which flows into the open kitchen. "The owner bought the gray leather couch first, so we built the room around it, says Katia. "The cabinet has already been installed, too, but we rearranged the shelves inside to improve access." Accents of gold are scattered throughout the apartment. The arched windows are my favorite gold detail, Katia said. "They look beautiful during the day and magical at night when the lights are on. The finish is gold leaf, which was carefully applied by a specialist gilder. "There is a deeper and richer than finishing the painting," she says, as you can see hair lines that cross each sheet purposes.

the kitchen was already at home on an island in marble, but extended Katia unit to create an integrated dining room table. "It has high stools around it," she says, "perfect for informal entertaining." The lights are the small crystal design balance by Windfall, and look like parts of a deconstructed chandelier. They are an example of notes, full of feminine spirit that dot, soften some of the most austere elements of the apartment, such as the dark cabinets.

There is a slightly masculine, charming feel to the master bedroom. "The owner likes gray, but we have worked in a lot of mirrors and silver and metallic tones, too, to give it a more glamorous feel, Katia said.

Katia used symmetry and worked in geometric designs with cushions and headboard to improve style boutique hotel in the room main . "It is , a sophisticated timeless look," she said. The headboard was custom made and dressed leather bedside tables are Fendi, one of the luxury brands like the owner.
