Davison started by creating an almost luminous backdrop "gallery-like 'by painting decorative ceilings, barley twist columns, walls, panels and windows to doors in a natural matt white. This brought together the features seemingly disconnected while creating a neutral backdrop against whose color in works of art, tiles, textiles and glows furniture.

Four of the six apartments in the building have been modernized typically - the removal of original features for the elegant, minimalist interior. Davison chose to adopt a different approach, keeping much of the structure of the original building and the repair and restoration of old plaster and decorative columns ceilings. She also had the original parquet floors sanded and oiled, and doors and existing windows were repaired and repainted.

The apartment was refreshed and revitalized to be functional, livable and beautiful without requiring a complete renovation. Each zone has an individual plan but complementary color. The variation across the apartment is subtle observable: a black kitchen and classic white, fresh green, lemon and lavender in the lounge, and soft pink, beige and blue in the bedroom and bathroom.

The glass paneled doors, which originally divided the bedroom and porch, were reused as for the doors of the china cabinet in the new kitchen. The original bronze and brass door and the material of the window, were also refurbished and reused.
Davison managed to considerably reduce the carbon footprint by using low VOC paints throughout, finishing the floor in a natural tung oil, and by choosing efficient appliances energy in the kitchen and laundry room. Structural changes to create larger spaces and enlarge the openings have also improved the flow of natural air of the apartment, so that the air conditioning is needed.
