restrictions of the site dictated a side of the water for the house of three rooms; that combined with the needs of owners inspired a plan somewhat serpentine linear and follows the edge of the water. "Sometimes the challenge and constraints create a more interesting design that does not occur under normal circumstances, said Bubnowski.
Surprisingly, his plans did not require a single change. The exterior is respectful of its context and framework with its coastal style façade.

When architect Richard Bubnowski met the couple who owned the property, he asked how they found it. "The woman was released three years the magazine clipping of my own personal surf shed," he said. Because the father and son were surfers, he had already gained some points with them before they ever met.

After entering the hallway, the view of the lounge is open. The fireplace lounge divided from the dining room and kitchen beyond. The front of the home is covered in recovered local oak, which adds warmth to the open space and offers a texture with a story.

The owners and their adult son had a vision for the house which incorporated the industrial style. The son is a musician who lives in Manhattan and brought ideas about this aesthetic to the design table. "He told me he loved old things, he liked new things, and he liked industrial Bubnowski said. The result is an eclectic house that integrates into context with an outside coastal style and Soho, open, aesthetic style loft inside.
Case in point: the two-storey dining room is open to the lounge and kitchen. These padded chrome chairs pull up to a table established as a dining room industrial style. And the whole house has a killer sound system.

the cuisine uses a wide variety of materials including wood cabinets recovered, mahogany and stainless steel work and a slate floor. "Every wall in this house is painted white, Bubnowski said. "There are so many textures, colors and finishing beams that we must add color through paint ... we let the white painting act as a backdrop for these materials.
The design links the different spaces through materials. In this image you can see how the diagonal line in the teak handrail plays on the door all the way through space, and how wood recovered in the kitchen refers to the chimney. The slate flooring is continuous throughout the house.

Although Bubnowski planned that when devices go, it assigns the interior designer, collaborated with Donna Grimes, with the ingenious composition of the cabinets and shelves. They are made from local reclaimed wood whitewashed.

In -Dessus the sink is a view of the lake. The lower half of the room was a bit of a farmhouse style feel, with white cabinets salvaged wood, slate floors, counter tops and mahogany butler sink.

Like most rooms of the house, the bathroom benefits from natural light and take in the view of the harvest Cove. The paneling is a nod to traditional chalets, while the rest of the light-flooded room is open and modern.

This is a plan of the two floors. I know it's a little hard to read at that size, but you can see that the second floor only has rooms on the right side; the rest is the roof over the hall, the two-floor dining room and the loft open space at the top of the stairs. Because the plan is open and narrow plan almost every room in the house gets to enjoy the lake view.

You can see how the house edge below the waterline; the master bedroom is able to exceed a little further because the land does.
