My Houzz: A Creative Nomad is a house in Byron Bay Picturesque - Since the age of 17, Celeste Twikler, an adventurer, artist and designer jewelery has not lived anywhere for more than two years - that is, until recently. Having traveled to many beautiful and exotic places, Twikler has always found it difficult to commit to one place. When the time came to really calm down and find a home she truly loved, there was a important requirement: it had to be a place that would make her want to stay.
She eventually found in a green refuge in the seaside town of Byron Bay. Her house she shares with her partner, Chris Cain is the perfect sanctuary to live and work. Like this couple, the house is relaxed, cozy and rustic charm.

Twikler works from home and that the house itself is quite small, she decided to make her delicate jewelry an adjoining studio. Originally, there was no overall plan or budget for additions to the house, as Twikler rather go with the flow, letting creativity take place when the urge strikes. The studio was originally an open veranda, which Twikler closed with the help of a friend and his father. His friend helped with the frame, while she and her father worked on siding, windows and doors.
The windows and doors are recycled in the studio, and one of the executives was found on the side of the road. Twikler said he just needed to glass and putty. She will always buy second hand if it can.

Have the separate space to work it helps to balance her home and work life. "There's a door I can close, an integral part of keeping me sane and makes me turn off. Otherwise, I would like to work all the time, "says Twikler.
During the day a lot of friends Twikler stop to visit for a chat and a cup of tea, so work is often the case in the wee hours of the night.

Living the beach in such a picturesque part of the world sees Twikler Cain and spend much of their mornings and afternoons in the ocean. It was the idea of Twikler to put in an outdoor shower for her to rinse her board after a surf.
'Dad and I built the outdoor shower and deck, and I think we did a very good job considering we have not had any experience with the construction of a prior "says Twikler.
The outdoor shower was originally added as a space to simply wash the sand and sea, but it has now become master bathroom of the couple. They rarely use them inside.

Twikler both Cain and prefer to keep the doors open and the windows to make the house feel like an extension of the garden and enjoy both spending time equal to the inside and outside. Twikler said she often like sitting on the porch in the morning with a cup of tea, take the sun and thinking about how lucky she is to have found his own paradise. She also feels fortunate to have great people in his life to share his home with.
