In dining room, Cummins displays collected pieces of the markets, boutiques and homeware stores favorite second hand stores - and these, it mixes with his family heirlooms.

Over of his school years, Cummins has earned the nickname of "a," which blocked throughout his adult life - even his students addressed him by it. His home references this work given to her as alumni gifts. There is also a large, blue metal, floor-standing letter 'A', which was part of the old signaling Malvern Central Shopping Centre, which takes a central place in the dining room.

A Cummins treasured legacies is this ancient drink cabinet. It belonged to his parents, who ran a B & B in northern Victoria. The cabinet also houses the glass and crystal that came with it original.

Cummins says her mother was a strong influence when it came to decorating the house. She remembers as a little girl always asking her mother why she had so many ornaments and trinkets. Her mother said she moved often as a child and therefore did not have much growing up, but as an adult enjoyed collecting his own memories.
Now, in his own house, Cummins can not imagine not having the pieces she inherited around. Mixing them with new evidence gathered, she says it makes her feel connected to her house.

The room is a beautiful retreat all year round. During the winter, the fireplace is used wisely warming the entire room. In summer, the double doors that open onto a small terrace offer the best seat in the house for a cup of tea in the morning and the fresh air. "I spend a lot of time in this room, both in winter and summer, and I love watching the bustle of St Kilda pass my window, said Cummins. 'It is also a great place to entertain friends in.

Next the living room is the bedroom. It faces the water, a position which means it is bathed in sunshine late afternoon. The bed linen and cushions are a mix of bargains found and bedding from a local homewares store. The chandelier is an original Art Deco in the apartment.

The kitchen is located at the back of the house. A hearty cooked meal house is still here in the house Cummins. She likes to have friends around and prepare a feast. The back door pictured here provides access to a laundry room and clothesline.

The collection teaspoon Cummins began after spending time with friends in the alpine region of Victoria Dinner Plain. While working at the tapas bar with friends, she decided she was going to launch a collection of his own.
