Doug has built a solid platform as the basis for the treehouse without bolting or nailing anything to the tree itself; nails could counteract the natural movements of the tree with the growth in the wind.

The family repurposed as possible building material. A neighbor gave the worn shingle cladding, which links the style of Treehouse to redwood covering the main house. Vintage windows - some with stained glass - and the recovered French doors make the structure feel more like a home

A chandelier vintage and more lamps illuminate the interior. Running the electricity required in the treehouse with an electrician friend. also allowed wiring for ecofriendly heating, Wi-Fi and TV.
